Basingstoke, 19 October 2016 – Azlan, the enterprise value added distribution business of Tech Data, has swelled its dedicated Veritas headcount to a team of more than 15 specialists, strengthening its support for enterprise partners and targeting strong growth.
The new recruits – a mix of business development, sales and technical staff – join Azlan’s existing team of professionals at Azlan’s Warrington location, swelling the enterprise team’s headcount at the northern office to over 80. All were previously employed by another distribution company, which has closed its location in the north-west region, transferring customer management outside of the UK.
Rob Tomlin, Azlan’s Managing Director, UK and Ireland, said: “We made a key investment earlier this year with the creation of our Information Management business unit and the appointment of Jody Taylor as Business Unit Manager. The combination of our investment and a revived and focused Veritas following its split from Symantec has produced an excellent growth in our enterprise data management business. When we learnt of this opportunity, we reacted quickly to ensure this experienced resource was retained within the Veritas UK channel community. “
Taylor added: “Our mission, closely aligned to that of our vendors and partners, is that the management of information, particularly with the advent of GDPR (General Data Protection Legislation), will be a major focus for many organisations within the next two years. Our goal is simple; we will continue to grow our team and business with the aim of doubling our revenues very much on target for early 2017.”
Tomlin reiterated the distributor’s determination to keep driving growth for its enterprise data management partners. “Azlan is fully committed to the UK market and has a very successful multi-site approach to supporting our business partners and recruiting the best talent”, he stated. “We have excellent and well-established back-office functions and offer the highest levels of professional service and support to our partners.
