New Business Development and Sales hires boost strength of Azlan virtualisation team

Alan Taylor is named as Azlan’s first dedicated VMware BDM while Rebecca Clarke joins to focus on the northern half of the UK – internal support team numbers also boosted

Basingstoke, 01 February 2017 – Azlan, the enterprise value added distribution business of Tech Data, is making further investments to support resellers on growing virtualisation business, appointing its first dedicated VMware Business Development Manager, hiring an additional manager to cover the northern region of the UK, and increasing the headcount of its internal focused team.

Alan Taylor has been appointed as VMware Business Development Manager, moving across from his previous role of Reseller Account Manager. He will be working closely with partners on programmes and initiatives to drive growth of non-core VMware solutions, such as NSX, vSAN and AirWatch.

Azlan has also appointed Rebecca Clarke as Business Development Manager for Virtualisation covering the northern region of the UK. She brings more than three years in enterprise distribution sales to the role. Michele Nicholson will now focus on the south.

In addition, Azlan has hired two additional staff to work in its Heathrow-based virtualisation team, swelling its ranks to 21.
