Telford, 13 October 2016 – Entanet and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Elsa Chen, have been named on the shortlist of two prestigious national business awards. The company itself is a finalist in the B2B Business of the Year category for the Amazon Growing Business Awards 2016, while its Chief Executive has been named a finalist in the Business Leader of the Year category of the Women in IT Awards for the second year in succession.

Entanet is one of the UK’s leading wholesale communications providers and has been building an increasingly strong reputation for excellence in service delivery, stability and growth over its 20-year history. The company has been recognised by numerous awards and nominations within the communications and IT industry sector and is now increasingly drawing the attention of national business awards initiatives.

Created by Real Business (http://realbusiness.co.uk/), sponsored by Amazon and supported by the CBI, the Amazon Growing Business Awards are the UK’s most established and respected recognition of SME and entrepreneurial success. Since 1999, they have celebrated exceptional and inspirational businesses. Previous winners include Innocent Drinks, Betfair, Lovefilm and Fever-Tree.

Organised by business-technology magazine Information Age, the Women in IT Awards has attracted widespread support since launching in 2015. The Business Leader of the Year award is presented to a female leader of a technology company. The judges consider the progress and growth of the company, the innovation it has brought to the market, and specific achievements and initiatives of the candidates. This is the second year that Elsa Chen has been nominated and shortlisted for the Business Leader of the Year award. Entanet has continued to make steady and stable progress in a rapidly-changing and competitive market. The company is constantly developing and innovating to improve services and advance its business. Recent developments include the launch of its new partner management portal, synergi, which is built on the salesforce platform with in-house bespoke customisation that enhances customer service delivery by providing its nationwide network of partners with direct access to information on their connections and data traffic; and expanding its connectivity portfolio to include wireless Ethernet services, enabling partners to offer a quickly implemented alternative to fixed line connectivity solutions.

The company has over 100 staff, its own national MPLS network, a strong position within the connectivity market, and an extensive and established community of channel partners. It is on target to achieve an annual turnover of around £36 million in the current financial year.

The winners of the Amazon Growing Business Awards will be announced on 30 November 2016 at a ceremony at The Brewery in the City of London. For more information, see http://gba.realbusiness.co.uk/.

The 2017 Women in IT Awards will be announced on 26 January 2017 at the InterContinental London Park Lane – see http://womeninitawards.com/ for further details.
