SYNAXON UK appoints Tirene Doepel as Head of Marketing

By Simon Meredith | 26th March 2020

WARRINGTON, 26 March 2020 – SYNAXON UK, the leading channel services group, is continuing its programme of investment, announcing the appointment of Tirene Doepel as Head of Marketing. Doepel will take control of all SYNAXON UK’s marketing and member recruitment programmes and be responsible for building strong relationships with key suppliers.

Doepel has joined SYNAXON UK from Network Group, where she spent just over three-and-a-half years in senior marketing roles. Previously Doepel worked in the higher education, public and third sectors, chiefly on partnership development, community and corporate social responsibility programmes.

Welcoming Doepel to the team, Mike Barron, Managing Director of SYNAXON UK, said: “The appointment of Tirene has come at a fantastic time and we are very glad to have secured her services.  She brings a wealth of experience from her work in other IT member organisations and in stepping up to this new role within Europe’s largest channel services group, she is demonstrating her ambition and hunger for success. It’s a great a great fit for both SYNAXON and Tirene.”

Tirene Doepel stated: “Joining SYNAXON UK at such an exciting time – with the ongoing investment commitment the group is making – is a fantastic opportunity. I am really looking forward to working with Mike, the rest of the SYNAXON UK team and our colleagues in Germany, as well as our members and supplier partners, to take the organisation forward and execute on our ambitious plans for 2020 and beyond.”

SYNAXON UK is making sustained investment in building its operations. It recently appointed a dedicated Channel Business Development Manager, Natasha Judge, and has expanded its member account management team. The group is seeing rapid growth in key areas such as Central Trading, which this year is expected to generate more than £1.5 million of sales through the EGIS portal. This and the introduction of several new services this year – including managed services and a device-as-a-service programme – will see SYNAXON UK accelerate its growth and development significantly.

The continued progress made by the SynMSP membership group has been a genuine success story for SYNAXON UK. However, the next planned bi-annual gathering of the managed services community, which was due to take place in April has had to be postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The UK team is presently exploring ways in which some of the planned agenda can be run online.

While the management team are monitoring the situation, SYNAXON UK’s national member conference, which is scheduled to take place at the Wyboston Lakes resort in Bedfordshire on Thursday 18 June is, at present, still going ahead.
