Enables partners to offer a range of data management and protection services from accredited Veeam expert to their customers without the need for upfront investment

Basingstoke, 19 October 2023 –TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) is collaborating with data management specialist Covenco to offer partners a range of cloud-based data management services based on Veeam’s advanced and tried and trusted technologies. The UK-based offerings enable reseller businesses that do not have the capabilities to develop their own services to extend their portfolio without needing to make any investment in new skills or infrastructure.

The services on offer include managed backup and recovery, disaster recovery, data security services, and virtualisation. They can be provided on a white label basis, with the managing partner retaining responsibility for all first line contact with the customer, or – with the partner’s agreement – delivered and managed directly by Covenco.

TD SYNNEX has already brought Covenco together with a small number of partners and with the formalised agreement in place, is now planning to reach out to more businesses that can use the services to enhance their own value proposition.

“There is a superb opportunity for partners to make use of Veeam’s tried and trusted technologies to deliver effective managed services for routine workloads such as backup and recovery”, said Simon Bennett, director – enterprise software and cloud, Advanced Solutions, UK, at TD SYNNEX.

“Few partners have the resources to set up and run data management services of their own. We’ve been working with Covenco to make other partners aware of their capabilities and bring them together in collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships. Now that we’ve formalised that relationship, we’re reaching out to the many more partners whom we believe could benefit by offering Covenco’s services to their customers.

“This relationship is a perfect example of how we see the partner ecosystem evolving – one in which partner businesses can call on the expertise and the ecosystems that TD SYNNEX has already developed to fill any gaps in their own capabilities and provide a wider range and more specialised services to end user customers. This is something we expect to see happening much more and, in our position as an enabler and aggregator at the hub of the channel, TD SYNNEX is perfectly placed to take that forward and to nurture and develop it to everyone’s benefit.”

As one of only a handful of Veeam Cloud and Service Provider (VCSP) partners in the UK, Covenco is the ideal ecosystem partner for resellers addressing the needs of SMB and mid-market customers.

Gurdip Sohal, sales director at Covenco, stated: “We recognised some time ago, a very significant opportunity to use Veeam’s technology in providing effective managed services for simple business functions, such as backup and DR, to SMB and mid-market customers. With the exceptional in-house expertise and experience we have in Veeam solutions, Covenco was perfectly placed to develop these propositions.

“We now have a range of highly effective services, and while we can’t reach out to anything like the total available market, with its growing channel ecosystem, TD SYNNEX can. Through this collaboration we have access to all the experience, infrastructure and capabilities to scale our services out and we are very much looking forward to working with TD SYNNEX and with their reseller partners to help them meet the data management needs of their customers.”

TD SYNNEX has a dedicated and highly accredited team and is the only Veeam Accredited Service Provider (VASP) in the UK. It is thus able to provide Veeam-accredited services on behalf of the vendor with and through partners. These specialist capabilities are further supported by the TD SYNNEX professional services team, who can provide a full range of consultancy, design, deployment, and support offerings for Veeam partners.
