Enables partners to offer full MXDR option without upfront investment – strong pipeline of opportunities building for those already engaged

Basingstoke, 23 August 2023 – TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) is seeking additional partners for its complete managed extended detection and response (MXDR) service after seeing several early successes during the initial roll-out of the proposition. TD SYNNEX is offering the service in the UK through its partnership with managed security specialist Chorus. Several partners have signed up for the programme since its pre-launch in January and more are the process of coming on-board.

The service is built on Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft 365 Defender and enables partners to provide comprehensive 24/7 protection of customers’ IT environments, without having to make any of their own investment in recruiting, training, and retaining their own specialist team. It is provided on behalf of the partner by Chorus while TD SYNNEX’s security experts support resellers on engagement, go-to-market activity, and initial sales. This combination is proving to be an attractive proposition for many partners, said Darren Dixon, business unit director – software, UK, TD SYNNEX.

“We’ve seen a lot of interest from partners. End-user customers like the idea of SOCaaS or MDR, but for partners it’s quite a big leap to go from talking about cybersecurity to delivering a fully managed, round-the-clock detection and response service. With most organisations already using Microsoft solutions, being able to offer Microsoft-verified MXDR without having to make all that up-front investment is extremely attractive.”

Good business opportunities are already emerging, he added. “A number of our partners are already offering to run detailed assessments of their customers’ current security posture. It’s going extremely well and we’re talking to more partners who’ve expressed a genuine interest in taking the service to market.”

TD SYNNEX has been running briefing events on the service and more of these are being scheduled for later in the year. The Chorus MXDR service enables reseller businesses to offer customers comprehensive, 24/7 protection of their IT environments. Built on Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel, it combines the broad cybersecurity expertise, maturity and reach of TD SYNNEX with the specialist focus and service capability of Chorus.
