Basingstoke, 05 February 2018 – Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq: TECD) has today announced that it has appointed David Watts to the position of Managing Director UK and Ireland. Watts will assume full responsibility for Tech Data’s operations in the UK and Ireland.
In November 2017, Gass took on the role of Senior Vice President, UK & Ireland and Digital, Europe, with a remit to drive the development and execution of the Tech Data’s digitalisation strategy in Europe, as well as contributing to the strategic development of the UK & Ireland business.

Watts joined Tech Data in 2007 and has worked in numerous senior roles. He was appointed Deputy Managing Director in February 2016, having held the post of Commercial Director for almost five years.
Gass joined Tech Data in 1993 and his previous roles include that of Senior Vice President, Azlan, and Regional Senior Vice President for Western Europe. He has led a succession of important initiatives, helping to formulate the long-term strategy for Tech Data’s UK and European operations. He has also been instrumental in the successful completion of several acquisitions over the past decade.
