Basingstoke, 13 July 2020 – Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) is seeing robust demand for LogPoint’s industry-leading security information and event management (SIEM) solutions as security-focused MSPs mobilise to meet the changing needs of their customers.

As organisations become more agile and dynamic than ever, the need for enterprises to bring all security solutions under one unified, coherent managed service is growing. As a result, Tech Data’s Security Practice is seeing high levels of interest in SIEM. It has been working with a number of MSPs to assist them in further developing appropriate skills and integrating SIEM solutions into their value-proposition.

Alison Nixon, Business Unit Director – Security, UK at Tech Data, said: “With the trend towards adopting modern workplace best practice, including remote working,, there is a real need to bring data from different systems together and to identify patterns of behaviour or signs of compromise and attack. Tech Data’s Security Practice has been supporting partners in meeting that requirement with expertise, enablement, training, and support services on SIEM that allows our partners to improve the cybersecurity and compliance postures of their customers and build a high-value proposition,  around which they can wrap value-added and managed security services.”

SIEM can be a good way to open additional potential with customers, said Nixon. “By helping our MSP partners to develop the knowledge and skills to deliver the far-reaching benefits of SIEM to their customers, Tech Data’s Security Practice can help them to open-up significant new business and growth opportunities. Not only with SIEM itself, but also with related security solutions and technologies, such as compliance and business analytics.”

The LogPoint SIEM solution is designed to be simple, flexible, and scalable. It detects cyberthreats anywhere in the network in real time, provides a comprehensive and centralised view of the state of cybersecurity and delivers advanced analytics and threat hunting capabilities to cybersecurity teams.

LogPoint’s licensing model is based on nodes rather than data volume and is particularly well-suited to managed security services providers, allowing them to deploy and operate a multi-tenanted model for SIEM at a predictable cost. Licenses can be flexed up or down quarterly, across an MSP’s entire customer base or for individual customers, with the MSP taking full control from the centre.

The company is included as a Visionary in the  2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management, and Cybersecurity professionals recognize the unique capabilities of the LogPoint solution by ranking LogPoint with 4.5 out of 5 stars in Gartner Peer Insights reviews for SIEM.
