IT services provider ITS Group has bolstered its cybersecurity portfolio with the acquisition of Hiuma’s networks and operational cybersecurity business.
The newly acquired branch will be integrated into the group’s infrastructure subsidiary, ITS Services, joining its almost 1,000-strong staff roster.
Founded in 2011 and based out of Lyon, France, Hiuma specialises in cybersecurity, networks, infrastructure and cloud computing.
This is the second M&A move made by ITS in a bid to bolster its cybersecurity services as demand continues to develop in a growing hybrid working environment.
The group snapped up Paris-based AMD Conseil last May to “reinforce” its expertise in the technological components of IT infrastructure.
It claimed the buy was part of its strategy to accelerate its development on its strategic activities with high added value, while maintaining an agile management close to its employees.
“We are very happy to welcome the experts from Hiuma, whose high quality is well known, to our teams,” said ITS Services regional director for the South East, Florian Ondel.
“It is a real pleasure for me to make this connection because Hiuma and ITS Services share the same DNA around human values and customer satisfaction.”
Established in 1997, ITS Group has a headcount of 1,400 and a 2021 turnover of €150m, according to its website.
Philippe Charousset, president of Hiuma added: “For my consultants, ITS Services offers new professional perspectives which will certainly allow them to develop professionally and personally.
“This consolidation also offers the opportunity for our current clients to benefit from a broader support in their digital transformation.”
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
