Enables partners to address the ecological* concerns of customers along with automated ink replacement, monitoring and on-site warranty cover from day one

Basingstoke, 25 September 2023 – TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) has today announced the integration of Epson A3 office print devices into its OpenMPS managed print service. This means that partners will be able to offer customers automated cartridge replacement and on-site warranty cover and the positive energy and waste saving benefits of Epson’s unique Heat-Free inkjet technology, from day one.

OpenMPS is a simple service that empowers partners to manage their end customers’ existing printing devices – whether they are deployed in the workplace or the home. Partners can set-up automated shipments of supplies to their customers and provide monitoring of print devices through a simple app that customers can install on their networks and /or client devices.

They can also offer on-site warranty cover with print devices and this will now be fully integrated and available to customers that purchase Epson A3 devices from partners. James Reed, managing director, Endpoint Solutions, UK and Ireland, TD SYNNEX, stated: “This further enhancement will add even more momentum to the growth in adoption of OpenMPS by our partners. With on-site warranty cover for all the leading brands and really simple ink replenishment, OpenMPS enables partners to add more value to every print device and increase their managed services subscription income. It’s a really simple and effective way for SMB partners to start offering managed print services.”

Epson’s Heat-Free technology provides significant energy and waste saving benefits to customers that address the growing need for ecologically responsible printing solutions across office and home working environments. It uses no heat in the ink ejection process, delivering lower power consumption, and has fewer replacement parts, reducing waste, the burden on recycling emissions, as well as user intervention.

Richard Wells, head of office print sales, UK and Ireland, Epson added: “The OpenMPS programme is a fantastic opportunity for making print services more accessible and cost-effective for businesses, and together with Epson’s expert Solutions+ programme, offers our partners another great asset for stimulating business growth. We are excited to be a part of this platform and to be bringing Epson heat-free inkjet solutions to the wider IT reseller community, giving them better access to reduced energy consumption, fewer consumables, and less user intervention compared with equivalent laser technology.”

Other features of OpenMPS include smart dashboarding that gives partners a graphic representation of all their managed print customers. Partners receive automatic alerts when orders are placed and have full control over customer pricing. Fast search capabilities and reports showing full details of all orders and shipments allow them to manage all their customers in one place. Enhanced data checking protects against fraud.

Epson’s WorkForce Enterprise AM-C series and WorkForce Enterprise 75/100ppm series devices will be available through OpenMPS. These advanced MFPs deliver consistent image quality and speeds of up to 100ppm, as well as enhanced security and exceptional reliability. The integration of Epson devices into OpenMPS will be available from 01 October 2023.
