Tech Data’s Partner to Partner programme begins to bear fruit

P2P initiative has brought two partners with complementary talents together – AdEPT’s education market expertise combined with Bam Boom Cloud’s Business Central skills

Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) company, has been helping partners finding new ways to add value and extend their propositions by bringing together channel businesses with specialist skills in a particular solution or technology with others who have access new marketplaces. Two of Tech Data’s partners who faced exactly these challenges have now teamed-up to offer Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions to education customers.

Education market expert AdEPT and specialist Dynamics 365 Business Central partner, Bam Boom Cloud, have forged an alliance through Tech Data’s Partner to Partner (P2P) programme. Over the last two years AdEPT has helped many schools migrate to Microsoft 365 and had discovered many also wanted to place their back-office apps into the cloud.

While it is a trusted partner for its education customers, AdEPT did not have the knowledge or experience in Business Central to provide such a service. Through the Tech Data P2P programme, it aligned with Bam Boom Cloud and the two companies are now successfully taking their combined proposition to market.

In a video case study, Tom Scott, CCO of AdEPT stated: “Tech Data has multiple partners that are specialists in a specific domain. The P2P programme introduces me to those specialists. It allows me to add to my sector-based skills to their technical skill, to make a compelling proposition for our customers. That’s what we’ve achieved with Bam Boom Cloud.”

Robert Pope, CCO of Bam Boom Cloud also features in the video, said: “We’ve worked with AdEPT, using our knowledge of Business Central to promote fixed-price, fixed-outcome solutions relevant to their education customers. We are not specialists in education and that’s how P2P plays well. It helps us to understand the sector and bring us all together.”

As well as AdEPT and Bam Boom Cloud, Tech Data is providing support for other Microsoft CSP partners on the full range of Microsoft cloud solutions, as well as on-boarding, training, and tools through which partners can provision, monitor and manage their customers effectively.  Tech Data has an extensive and dedicated Microsoft cloud team and can help partners with any and every aspect of the CSP programme.

Simon Bennett, director – enterprise software and cloud, Tech Data, UK and Ireland, added: “We are passionate about supporting partners in transforming their businesses and helping customers to achieve their goals. The reality in today’s IT market is that no single partner can do it all. This is why Tech Data is investing in programmes and initiatives to bring partners that have complementary skills and access to markets together.

“AdEPT and Bam Boom Cloud have both embraced this concept with real positivity and enthusiasm and shown how successful it can be. This is – we envision– just the start. We believe that, by creating a whole new ecosystem of talented and dynamic partners, we can genuinely enhance the value that the channel delivers to end-user customers and support partners in developing and driving new revenue streams.”
