Basingstoke, 15 March 2022 – Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) company, has formed a collaboration with technology retail market specialist Retail Profiling Group to offer customised merchandising services and sales training to retailers.
The service will be available through Tech Data’s consumer services business unit It is the latest addition to a whole range of specialist services that Tech Data is bringing together for retailers and webstores, as Mark Glasspool, services director, UK and Ireland, Tech Data, explained.
“Through our new collaboration with Retail Profiling we will offer independent retailers a value-added service that will make a tangible benefit to their business. Our experience in the retail technology market and Retail Profiling’s prowess in consumer electronics and technology merchandising is a potent combination and one that offers something genuinely different to retailers.
“We will continue to add more services over the coming weeks and months, with the aim of providing retailers with the support and expertise they need to get the edge in today’s hyper-competitive market.”
Tech Data will be offering a range of options through the partnership with Retail Profiling, from a simple display refresh through to customised point-of-sale (POS), branded bay and demonstration units, and the design and construction of entire category sections.
Specialist training programmes – some using augmented and virtual reality – will also be on offer to independent retailers through Tech Data, giving them the opportunity to sharpen-up their selling skills with a view to achieving specific objectives.

We’ll be working closely with Tech Data to provide independent retailers with the right merchandising solutions for their particular needs.”
The new service is the latest addition to Tech Data’s portfolio of value-added services. Others include pre-delivery configuration, virtual warehousing, bill-and-hold (supply chain management), third-party logistics (3PL), and managed print. Tech Data recently extended its services for installation and maintenance of power management and UPS solutions.
