Expert business mentoring presentations will give resellers the opportunity to experience the value of Tech Data’s comprehensive transformation programme
Basingstoke, 07 May 2020 – Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) is to broadcast its Practice Builder Live event on Thursday 14 May on LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
The company had planned to run the day-long series of mentoring sessions on partner business transformation in a physical location with invited attendees – and make videos of the expert presentations available online later as it has with previous events in the transformation programme.
The distributor will now host all six expert coaching sessions in real time on the Disruptive Live video platform, making them available simultaneously on LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. Anyone can watch the presentations live on these sites. However, partners that pre-register will be given a special log-in, allowing them to interact with the expert presenters and receive further information about how Tech Data can help accelerate partner transformation.
Tech Data’s Practice Builder methodology enables the distributor to build effective programmes for partners to develop their own cloud, security, or data solutions and/or IoT solutions practices, through access to knowledge and skills development resources. These programmes are delivered as online digital enablement paths and include various elements, such as virtual strategy development workshops, supported by the solution practice mentors.
Corin Wright, Practice Builder Lead, UK, at Tech Data, stated: “The Practice Builder methodology is designed to take partners on a transformational journey, from where they are now to where they will need to be in order to diversify, differentiate, evolve and grow their business. The Practice Builder Live event will give our customers the opportunity to experience the value of the specialist advice they will receive on the full programme.”
Commenting on behalf of Disruptive Live, Kate Bennett: Operations Director, stated: “Today it is more relevant to get timely information into the channel than ever before, and we are pleased to be working on this amazing initiative with Tech Data.”
While the Practice Builder Live event is open to anyone who wants to tune in, partners also have access to tailored online enablement content, aligned to their capability level, which is identified when completing a comprehensive partner transformation assessment. The partner transformation assessment is the first step to the partner transformation journey.
A number of resellers have already enrolled and progressed through programmes built on the Practice Builder methodology. Amir Dean, Director at Freestyle IT, stated: “We joined the programme in July and by January we tripled the percentage of recurring revenue in our business by implementing what we learnt.”
Vin Jauhal, Managing Director, Wem Technology, said: “The programme has fundamentally changed our business in ways we never thought imaginable. Many of the initiatives have helped us define new service bundles and lead generation strategies.”
Further investment means there is room for additional partners, said Wright. “We now have the capacity to invite more of our customers onto what is already a tried and tested programme and one that is being enthusiastically backed by a number of our vendor partners. Now is the perfect time for resellers to reassess and realign their strategies and explore the new potential that emerging technologies present. Through Practice Builder they can make use of the business expertise of recognised specialists in key areas, and Tech Data’s extensive training and enablement resources to acquire new skills and capabilities, and apply proven strategies that will help them to advance their business as digital transformation accelerates.”
The Practice Builder Live event on 14 May will include sessions – all presented by experienced subject matter experts – on how to increase revenue, reduce abandon rates and improve new customer acquisition. There will also be sessions on accelerating recurring revenues, improving service quality, streamlining business operations and combating cybersecurity threats for customers.
In addition, the session will also cover the role of managed services in providing a solid foundation for digital protection, how to position cloud solutions with customers, and the importance of collaboration in today’s rapidly changing environment.
