Zyxel Group recognised among global top five percent sustainability leaders by S&P Global

Zyxel Group is one of only five companies in its industry included in the benchmark publication.

Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure, AI-powered cloud networking solutions, has announced that Zyxel Group has once again made its mark by being included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025. Standing out among over 7,690 companies globally, Zyxel Group earned a spot in the top five percent of the Communications Equipment industry, showcasing its strong commitment to sustainable practices.

The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook evaluates companies based on their Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) scores, which is the same benchmark used in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). A total of 780 companies across 62 industries were recognised this year, reflecting the rigorous standards required for inclusion. Among the 54 companies assessed in the Communications Equipment sector, only five were selected for recognition, including Zyxel, Cisco and Ericsson.

Zyxel Group’s inclusion in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is just the latest testament to its long-standing commitment to ESG excellence. This recognition builds on a series of prestigious awards and ratings Zyxel received in 2024, including triple accolades from the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA), recognition as one of Business Weekly’s Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness Enterprises for three consecutive years, an A rating from MSCI ESG Rating, a B management level rating from Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and a Silver Medal from EcoVadis. These achievements underscore Zyxel Group’s leadership in sustainability and its ongoing efforts to set industry standards.

Achieving sustainability goals requires collective action across industries and supply chains. In recognition of this, Zyxel Group is actively contributing to a broader global movement toward sustainability by pursuing ambitious carbon reduction targets. The company aims to reduce emissions by 50 percent by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, aligning with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Additionally, Zyxel Group is driving sustainability across its supply chain through initiatives like the ‘Zero Carbon Academy’, which helps suppliers improve carbon management and develop low-carbon products.

Zyxel Group’s continued inclusion in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook underscores its leadership in sustainable business practices. Moving forward, the company remains committed to delivering substantial and lasting environmental and social impact through initiatives that benefit communities worldwide and contribute to global sustainability goals.

TD SYNNEX can now offer funding to support UK Microsoft cloud partners on Azure migrations

Advanced Specialisation accreditation means that partners can address opportunities to move customers and increase consumption income

Basingstoke, 04 March 2025 – TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) has achieved Microsoft Advanced Specialisations for infrastructure and database migrations and can now offer Microsoft cloud partners in the UK funding for qualifying projects to support the growth of their Azure business.

TD SYNNEX has attained both Infrastructure and Database Migrations and Build and Modernise AI Apps designations. Partners can apply for Azure migrations through TD SYNNEX and the customer migrations will be executed by TD SYNNEX’s qualified Microsoft specialists on the partner’s behalf. This enables partners that do not have migration capabilities or the necessary accreditations to address more potential opportunities.

The Advanced Specialisation capabilities extend TD SYNNEX’s successful Migrate2Azure scheme and further enhances the value it delivers to partners through its comprehensive Microsoft CSP partner programme. Within its team, TD SYNNEX has experts in all sales, commercial and technical aspects of the CSP programme and can provide partners with the best support and advice every step of the way as they develop their Microsoft cloud business.

Darren Dixon, business unit director – software, Advanced Solutions, UK, TD SYNNEX, said: “These specialisations highlight the extensive and proven capability of TD SYNNEX in Microsoft cloud and these distinct solution areas. They enable us to access Azure Migrate and Modernise funding to support partners in Azure migration projects. That means partners don’t need to go to the effort and expense themselves and can take-up migration opportunities that they might otherwise have had to pass over. For many partners, this is a really good and cost-effective way to deliver Azure migrations, secure additional Azure Cloud Revenue (ACR) consumption, and grow their business.”

Partners can apply for funding on any size of migration, while the minimum expected Azure consumption by the customer must be $10,000 per annum.

SYNAXON UK lines up top speakers for Attack vs. Defence event

More than 50 partners expected to attend with speakers to include a cyber protection officer from the Regional Organised Crime Unit, a leading social media influencer, and the head of an award-winning lead-gen agency

Wolverhampton, 05 February 2025 – SYNAXON UK has recruited a dazzling line-up of speakers for its Attack vs. Defence partner event in early March. The event will also be backed by leading suppliers, including headline sponsors Telev8 and Terra Computer.

Presenters will include Ian Schofield, Regional Cyber Crime Protect Officer for the Regional Cyber Crime Unit (RCCU) West Midlands, who will talk about how the threat landscape has evolved over the years and what the future may hold. There will be a fireside chat session on modern marketing with Ewan Baggott, football freestyler, presenter and social media influencer, and Tara-Jane Sloane, Managing Director of Telev8, an award-winning IT lead generation specialist, will explain how partners can attract new and profitable business.

A panel debate focusing on current cyber security challenges will feature senior executives from ESET, Huntress, OpenText, Pax8, and Viper. Throughout the day, delegates will be able to network with each other, vendor partners, and SYNAXON UK personnel in the expo area. Further exhibitors including Dell, HP, Owl Labs, and ThreatLocker, will also be in attendance, with more to be announced.

The all-day event is not only open to engaged partners, but also to IT resellers and MSPs who are new to SYNAXON, taking place at Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton on Thursday, 6th March 2024. Anyone wishing to attend is advised to register as soon as possible (see link below).

Mike Barron, Managing Director, SYNAXON UK, said: “We want to make this event different from anything else that partners might have attended. Ian Schofield will give us a new perspective on the everyday realities of fighting cybercrime – and we’ll explore that theme and others in the panel debate.

“We’re going to take a more pragmatic look at marketing techniques too, giving partners the opportunity to hear about both traditional and modern techniques with Telev8’s Tara-Jane Sloane, and social media influencer Ewan Baggott. Hopefully, by approaching these key areas of business from a different angle, we can spark more out-of-the-box thinking, and ignite new conversations, partnerships, and potential.”

Commenting on the central theme of the event, he added: “As a long suffering Wolves fan and junior football coach, I am used to seeing an attack versus defence scenario played out at Molineux, so I thought we might as well continue with that theme for this event.”

TD SYNNEX UK hits £2 billion milestone in credit lines extended to the channel

Landmark achieved on the back of steady growth in business, changes to partner business models, and the need to support growing number of hybrid deployments

Basingstoke, 23 January 2025 –TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) has announced that it now has more than £2 billion in credit lines extended to the UK channel, underlining its significance in enabling partners to do business and meet the changing needs of their end user customers.

The rise in credit lines has been fuelled by steady growth and changes to partner business needs driven by end-customer requirements for hybrid technology deployments. “We are committed to delivering excellence in credit and finance services and with partners now operating mixed models of solutions sales, subscriptions and services, the availability of these options is more important than ever”, said David Watts, regional vice president and managing director, UK and Ireland, TD SYNNEX.

“While end customer organisations may want to invest in new technologies and solutions, it is not always easy to allocate funding right away. In addition, most customers now want to use a mix of on-premises and cloud solutions, and to both purchase and own products outright and take advantage of subscription offerings. As a consequence, partners are now having to manage ever-more-complex installations and their business models are changing. We are here to support them in every way we can and credit and finance options are a foundational element of our services that underpin our partners’ ability to do business.”

As well as credit services TD SYNNEX provides flexible options to suit every customer scenario through its specialist finance arm, TD SYNNEX Capital. Solutions are available to support subscription payments for software and services and consumption-based financing. Smaller partners that are growing fast can take advantage of the TD SYNNEX Credit Elevator, which enables partners to increase their credit limit automatically as they grow, without having to re-apply, by meeting a set of pre-set requirements.

Zyxel Networks highlights AI and WiFi 7 as the key networking trends of 2025

Increasing use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance performance, security and manage networks will be a key trend over the next 12 months.

Wokingham, 23 January 2025 – Zyxel Networks is predicting that AI and machine learning will play a much more significant role in managing the efficiency, performance and protection of networks in 2025. Other key trends will see the accelerated adoption of WiFi 7, further uptake of multi-gig switching, and the continued integration of security into the network.

The forecasts are made in a blog post by Kevin Drinkall, Director – Marketing and GTM Strategy, EMEA at Zyxel Networks, and a podcast featuring Kevin and other Zyxel Networks experts.

In the blog post, Kevin emphasises the influence that AI will have in driving advances and improving user experiences, stating: “AI is what everyone will be talking about (again) in 2025. But the underlying trends will be all about meeting higher bandwidth demand, future-proofing and protecting investment, and finding ways to manage networks more efficiently and effectively.”

Zyxel Networks has been using AI for some time to improve the self-diagnosis and healing capabilities of its products. It also gathers information from installed devices and analyses the data using AI tools, feeding this information directly into R&D and helping focus efforts on areas that will have the most positive impact. AI will also help improved network security and make it easier and faster to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.

Kevin sets out his expectations for strong growth in WiFi 7 uptake, predicting that it will become the dominant standard, leaving WiFi 6 as the budget-friendly option. “Customers will choose WiFi 7 for its superior bandwidth, low latency and the additional future-proofing and investment protection it provides.”

An acceleration in multi-gig switches is also on the cards, he says, largely driven by WiFi 7 adoption. Zyxel Networks is planning to launch its first switch that provides 25G on network ports and up to 100G on the uplink in 2025.

All of these developments will also fuel further growth of managed services and activation of Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud management platform. This allows administrators and managed services providers to remotely configure, monitor and manage Zyxel Networks devices. Nebula was the fastest-growing area of the company’s business last year and is expected to grow further in 2025.

The move to managed services – for both the network and security – makes sense both for the end user organisations using networks and for MSP partners, says Kevin. “It means that there is no need to have someone in-house who is responsible for network management and cybersecurity – it can be left to a dedicated expert to keep watch over the network from a distance.”

In the podcast, Kevin discusses all these trends with Michel Nicolai, EMEA Senior Regional Sales Engineer; Hugh Simpson, EMEA Marketing Development Manager – Wireless; and Luke Harley, EMEA Market Development Manager – Switch.
